James Wentz
Class of 1948
James Wentz graduated from Kutztown State Teachers College in 1955. Mr. Wentz has been a role model for faculty, students, administrators, and athletes within the Lehighton Area School District.
He taught fourth and sixth grades in Lehighton Schools and became the Principal at Shull-David Elementary School in 1958.
He went on to become Director of Pupil Services, which placed him in charge of attendance, special education, gifted students, school nurses, and health services.
Mr. Wentz coached football for 30 years and track for 28 years.
He has contributed numerous hours of volunteer work at Blue Mountain Health System·
Mr. Wentz has served many years on the Board of Zion UCC Church, participated in the choir, and taught Sunday School.
